My 360 was modded (and banned!) in 2007 I think. Does that mean some new games won't play on it?!

course you can, you can install latest dash on banned boxes - you need latest drive fw of course

You can do whatever you want with the drives firmware m8 it's the dash you don't want to update if you plan on jtag'ing it.

If you've got a drive with one of the older drive firmwares then dependig on which one all the games will run with it but newer games will update your dash from an update on the disk if you don't update you can't play them.

I think all games have a certain minimum dash they'll work with and that'd be on the disk.Dunno if you can get patched versions but i've never heard of them.

I had an old blade dash xbox which i jtagged straight away and now i just remove the sytem update folder out of a game before ftp'ing it onto an external hdd.
An update for jtag's to the newer 9199 dash is available but i haven't needed to update it yet.
