    Default HD camcorder rental?

    Hey all,

Does anyone know where you can rent Hi Def camcorders or does anyone have one I could borrow for videoing my sister-in-laws wedding?

I would be very very grateful if so, or if anyone knows where you can rent one for a reasonable amount.

    Cheers
    Russbeer

It would, but that's far too much! They are having a laugh with those prices.

I was hoping to lend one of someone for a few bob, the wedding is on the isles of scilly, and we're there for the week. I'm not paying £1500 to rent a camcorder that costs less than half that to buy!

It's a panasonic hdc-sx5. that dates fine. It's a decent bit of kit but it records to memory cards rather than a HD or mini dvd's. I'd rather you picked it up and dropped it off as it might get damaged in the post.

Just read a review of that model Sie, I've got a 8gb sdhc, do you recommend a bigger one? It says it should manage about 80mins at 1080p on that?

8 gb should be fine fella. Best thing would be to give it a proper test drive before the main event. The quality is great.

    Wank to be honest...!

If you have an 8 gb card that will do about 1 hour of video but the battery will be dead about the same time.

You can get the cheap ones from eBay though now but i have never got round to it.,..!
