Stick TV on Al Jazeera RIGHT NOW and you can see an Arab on the ship brandishing 2 iron bars . So there must be some truth in what the Israeli's are reporting.

If Israel went with a deliberate mission of killing then why would they set up a tent city for the people in advance ?

If the Israeli's were really out to kill then why not just sink the ships and have have no risk to their own troops ?

People are seeing what they want to see and are falling into Hamas propaganda plight.

Stick Al Jazeera on Sky channel 514 and see for yourself.

Also watch the people in Lebanon being led like sheep by Hisbollah militants.

The reporter woman's grin was getting broader and broader as the ranting idiot in a suit was blaming Israel for the world's evils.

If these socalled peace activists were really interested in helping, then why would 700 hundred of them take up room on the boats that could be used to get more supplies on.

A lot of them were just there to make a name for themselves.

The PR battle was won well and truly by Hamas and the Pallywood productions.

Participants say Gaza flotilla approached by Israeli ships

(CNN) -- A convoy of boats carrying food and aid to the Palestinian territory of Gaza in defiance of an Israeli blockade is being shadowed by three Israeli warships, according to one organization participating in the flotilla.

At least one of the six boats in the flotilla have also been contacted by Israel Defense Forces radio, the Free Gaza organization reported on its Twitter page.
"We didn't expect them now," said one tweet about 11 p.m. (4 p.m. ET), adding the participants thought Israeli forces would arrive Monday morning.
Three Israeli navy missile boats left a Haifa naval base just after 9 p.m. (2 p.m. ET) to intercept the flotilla.

"This is a help message," said one post from the flotilla on the Free Gaza website. "We have been contacted by the Israelis but are still fine, don't worry."
"The signals are going up and down," the website said. "Israel is doing its best to block the satellite."

Free Gaza said later that flotilla participants could see three Israeli navy vessels on radar shadowing them as they proceeded toward the coast. The Israeli navy had contacted the flotilla and asked, "Who are you and where are you going?" the organization said.

"Our reply was that we were part of a flotilla and we were going to Gaza to deliver humanitarian supplies," the organization said.
Contacted by CNN, the IDF reiterated the Israeli government's offer for the flotilla to dock at Israel's Ashdod port, where supplies would be unloaded and transferred to Gaza.

The IDF said the Gaza shoreline is not specifically deemed a "closed military area," but it is closed to maritime traffic. The Israeli government has decided to prevent all ships from reaching the Gaza shore to prevent any attempts to bring in ammunition or missiles that could potentially harm Israeli citizens, the IDF said.

Osama Qashoo of the Free Gaza organization said earlier Sunday that morale onboard the ships was high. "It's the best cruise you could ever take. People are singing and laughing."

The flotilla was delayed for a while after two boats developed mechanical problems, but set out on the last leg of the journey Sunday. One boat was repaired, while the other will head to Gaza next week, organizers said.

The flotilla is expected to arrive near Gaza at about 9 a.m. Monday (2 a.m. ET), according to the Free Gaza Movement website.
The boats left European ports in a consolidated protest organized by two pro-Palestinian groups to deliver tons of food and other aid to Gaza to break a blockade imposed by Israel in 2007.

The Israeli government said Thursday it would stop the convoy, and that the IDF has been given instructions to reroute the flotilla to Ashdod. The activists remain adamant that they are headed to Gaza.

Both sides insisted on Sunday they do not want a confrontation.
"We are determined. We are going to bust through the Israeli navy," Qashoo said. But "we are not seeking any confrontation ... we are simply a humanitarian mission."
He said the participants will defend themselves if they must. <<<<-- Utter bollox !

Israeli government spokesman Mark Regev, meanwhile, said Israeli civilians were plagued a year ago by rockets and missiles fired from Gaza that originated in places like Iran and Syria.

The government wants to check vessels heading into Gaza to make sure rockets and missiles aren't being smuggled in, he said. "For us, it's a life and death issue."
Qashoo said participants are prepared -- some have written their wills, while others are in contact with family and friends.

Flotilla participants said in a statement they planned to hold a memorial service on Sunday for U.S. soldiers killed in a 1967 Israeli attack on the USS Liberty in the eastern Mediterranean. Thirty-four American soldiers died and 173 were injured.
The service will be led by Joe Meadors, who was a signalman on the Liberty and is a member of the Free Palestine Movement delegation to the flotilla, the statement said. <<<<<-- Targeted propaganda to try to get the Yanks on board !

"I am sailing again in the eastern Mediterranean," Meadors said in the statement, "to remember the brave heroes from the Liberty and the forgotten 1.5 million people trapped in Gaza."
The maritime convoys are being organized by both the Free Gaza Movement and the Turkish-based IHH, a humanitarian relief foundation affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood religious group.

Regev said Sunday that Western and Turkish authorities have accused IHH of having "working relations" with different terrorist organizations.

He reiterated that the flotilla is invited to stop at Ashdod, and noted the Egyptian government has made a similar offer.

While flotilla participants speak of human rights, Regev said, they don't mention the human rights of Israelis on the receiving end of Hamas rockets, or even the "brutal suppression" of human rights within Gaza by Hamas.

"If you're gay, if you're Christian, if you're a woman dressed, in their terms, immodestly, you'll face violent retribution," Regev said.

"Free Gaza seems to ignore all that. What sort of human rights activists are they?"
About 15,000 tons of humanitarian aid flows into Gaza per week, Regev said. He questioned whether the flotilla is really interested in helping people in Gaza, or just wants to "make a political point, which is difficult to understand."

In the meantime, Stand With Us, a pro-Israel advocacy group, has organized a six-boat flotilla as a counter-demonstration against the Turkish flotilla.
Michael Dixon, a member of the pro-Israeli group, says the real aim of the Turkish group is not humanitarian, but to draw attention to itself.

"We are here today to protest the hypocrisy of the boats coming in towards Gaza right now. They profess to be human rights activists, but they don't say anything about the suffering of the Palestinians under the brutal Hamas regime," Dixon said late last week.

"The people on the boat refused a letter to Gilad Shalit, an Israeli soldier who has been kept captive in isolation for three years. That shows you the type of people we are dealing with," he said.

A protest outside the Israeli embassy in Istanbul, Turkey, began Sunday and continued into the early morning hours of Monday, with some 20 to 30 people gathered near the embassy shouting slogans, according to CNN Turk.

Why attempt to storm an Israeli blockade when clear offers of being able to land at Ashdod or Egypt were made countless times the last being on Thursday ?

Please go back and comment on the bits I've highlighted in my previous post.

The whole thing stinks of hypocrisy !

IHH, which plays a central role in organizing the flotilla to the Gaza Strip, is a Turkish humanitarian relief fund with a radical Islamic anti-Western orientation. Besides its legitimate philanthropic activities, it supports radical Islamic networks, including Hamas, and at least in the past, even global jihad elements.

    Portrait of IHH
    1. Prominent among the coalition organizations participating in the aid flotilla scheduled to arrive in the Gaza Strip in the coming days is the Turkish IHH (Insani Yardim Vakfi, IHH, “humanitarian relief fund”). It is a radical Islamic organization which was established in 1992 and formally registered in Istanbul in 1995. It is headed by Bülent Yildirim.

    IHH head Bülent Yildirim
    (www.ihh.org.tr, April 7, 2010)

    2. IHH has a broad program of important activities in distressed areas. They include sending food and support to orphans, establishing educational institutions, hospitals and clinics, programs for vocational education, supplying medicines, building mosques and preventing the violation of human rights in various Islamic locations throughout the world. In recent years it has begun widening its activities to European countries, in part by establishing branches which bear its name.

    3. In practice, besides its legitimate humanitarian activities, IHH supports radical Islamic terrorist networks. In recent years it has prominently supported Hamas (through the Union of Good). In addition, the ITIC has reliable information that in the past IHH provided logistical support and funding to global jihad networks.

IHH logo: The dove of peace appears at the lower right of the globe.
    IHH Links To Hamas

    4. IHH’s orientation is radical-Islamic and anti-American, and it is close to the Muslim Brotherhood (Hamas’ parent movement). IHH supports Hamas and does not hide the connection between them. Hamas also considers its links to IHH and Turkey to be extremely important, and regards Turkey as a target audience for its propaganda network (Palestine-Information, Hamas’ main website, has a Turkish version, and as of the end of 2009, the website of its military wing, the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, has also appeared in Turkish).

    5. In recent years, especially since Hamas took over the Gaza Strip, IHH has supported Hamas’ propaganda campaigns by organizing public support conferences in Turkey. At those conferences, which featured the participation of senior IHH figures, the heads of IHH expressed their support for Hamas and its strategy (including the armed struggle it favors), in defiance of the Palestinian Authority, Hamas’ rival.

    6. IHH is a member of the Union of Good, an umbrella organization of more than 50 Islamic funds and foundations around the globe, which channels money into Hamas institutions in the Palestinian Authority-administered territories. As a Union of Good member IHH has connections with other worldwide Islamic funds and foundations which support Hamas. Among other things, the support includes initiating and conducting joint projects whose objectives are to bolster the de facto Hamas administration in the Gaza Strip and Hamas’ civilian infrastructure in Judea and Samaria, which also supports terrorism (the infrastructure is under pressure from the Palestinian Authority security services). IHH, which has become an important factor in global fund-raising for Hamas, transfers significant amounts of money to Hamas institutions in Judea and Samaria, including the Islamic Charitable Society in Hebron and the Al-Tadhamun Charitable Society in Nablus (Hamas’ two central “charitable societies,” both outlawed by Israel).

    7. IHH operates widely throughout the Gaza Strip. To promote its activities it opened a branch there, headed by Muhammad Kaya, who recently stated that IHH intended to send other aid flotillas to the Gaza Strip (See below). In January 2008 an IHH delegation met with Ahmed Bahar, a senior Hamas activist who is acting chairman of Hamas’ council in the Gaza Strip. At the meeting the delegation revealed the extent of the aid it had given Hamas in the Gaza Strip during the preceding year and said it intended to double the sum in the future. In January 2009 IHH head Bülent Yildirim met with Khaled Mashaal, chairman of Hamas’ political bureau in Damascus, and Mashaal thanked him for the support of his organization.

Israel Outlaws IHH and Expels an IHH Activist

    9. Israel outlawed IHH because of its affiliation with the Union of Good and because it is an important factor in Hamas’ global fund raising.
It was included in a decision made by Defense Minister Ehud Barak in 2008 which outlawed 36 associations which belonged to the Union of Good (IHH appeared as number 36 on the list4).

    10. In November 2009 IHH sent one of its activists, a man named Izzat Shahin, to Judea and Samaria to open an office
(in addition to its Gaza Strip office). Shahin started work supporting Hamas “charitable societies.” He transferred tens of thousands of American dollars from IHH to the Islamic Charitable Society in Hebron and Al-Tadhamun in Nablus, two of Hamas’ most important “charitable societies.” His activities were thwarted by the Israeli security forces. In April 2010 he was detained for questioning on suspicion of involvement in financing terrorism and supporting Hamas, and was deported from Israel immediately after his interrogation in compliance with an official Turkish request.

Part of a document seized by the IDF during Operation Defensive Shield (2002): A table prepared by the Union of Good containing the names of shaheeds who carried out mass-murder suicide bombing attacks in Israeli cities. It was used to arrange payments to the suicide bombers’ families though the Hamas-affiliated Islamic “charitable society” Al-Tadhamun in Nablus. It is one of the charitable societies Izzat Shahin transferred money to after he was appointed IHH representative in Judea and Samaria in 2009.

IHH’s Links with the Global Jihad
    11. The ITIC has reliable information indicating that in the past IHH had links with global jihad and Islamic terrorist elements in the Middle East. As part of its connections with the global jihad it supported jihadist terrorist networks in Bosnia, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan and Chechnya.

    12. That was manifested by logistic support for the transfer of weapons and money. This information verifies findings of a study conducted by a Danish research institute into IHH’s past links with Al-Qaeda (See below).

    13. We do not have updated information about current IHH links with global jihad elements, however, its activities in the past may indicate its nature.
Danish Research Institute Exposes Past IHH Links with Al-Qaeda

    14. In 2006 a Danish research institute called the Danish Institute for International Studies conducted a study which reported that in the past IHH had connections with Al-Qaeda and global jihad operatives.5 The well-documented study was conducted by Evan Kohlman,6 an American researcher who specializes in Al-Qaeda and related subjects. It deals with the involvement of Islamic charity funds and foundations in supporting terrorism. Pages 10-14 relate to IHH.

Title page of the Danish Institute’s study.

    15. According to the study, the Turkish authorities began investigating IHH at least in December 1997, after having received information that senior IHH figures had purchased automatic weapons from radical Islamic organizations. The office of the organization in Istanbul was consequently raided and activists were arrested. During the raid the Turkish security forces found weapons, explosives, instructions for making IEDs and a flag with a jihad message. An examination of the documents found in IHH office indicated that IHH members were planning to take part in jihad activities in Afghanistan, Bosnia and Chechnya.

    16. The study quotes a French intelligence report stating that in the mid-1990s IHH leader, Bülent Yildirim, was directly involved in recruiting “veteran soldiers” to organize jihad activities. According to the French report, a number of operatives were sent by IHH into war zones in Islamic countries to gain combat experience. The report also stated that IHH transferred money, “caches of firearms, knives and pre-fabricated explosives” to Muslim fighters in those countries.

Passage from the study quoting a French intelligence report. It deals with the
involvement of IHH and its leader in global jihad activities during the 1990s.

    17. The study also states that an examination of IHH’s telephone records in 1996 showed repeated calls in 1996 to an Al-Qaeda guest house in Milan and to Algerian terrorists operating in Europe (one of whom was notorious Al-Qaeda figure Abu Ma’ali [Abd al-Qadr Mukhtari], who operated in Bosnia). IHH’s name was also mentioned during the trial of Ahmed Ressam held in the United States in 2000 (Ressam was a senior Al-Qaeda operative active in Canada, who at the end of 1999 entered the United States in a car carrying 600 kilograms (1320 pounds) of explosives. He planned to carry out a mass-casualty attack at the Los Angeles International Airport on the eve of the millennium.) The United States federal prosecutors called Jean-Louis Bruguière, a leading French investigating magistrate in charge of terrorism affairs, as an expert witness. He testified that IHH had played an important role in Al-Qaeda’s planned attack. According to Bruguière, IHH served as a cover for Al-Qaeda and acquired forged documents, enlisted operatives and transferred weapons.

Passage from the study dealing with IHH cover for the global jihad.

    18. According to the study, following the American invasion of Iraq in 2003, Bülent Yildirim and IHH played a key role in anti-Western incitement among Turkish Muslims. At the end of 2000 IHH organized protests against the attempt to overthrow Saddam Hussein, during which Israeli and American flags were burned. In December 2004 IHH organized an anti-American march in Istanbul. During the march Bülent Yildirim told the Turkish Anatolia News Agency that the intelligence cooperation between the United States, Britain and Turkey had to stop, otherwise IHH would organize actions in front of every consulate, and if necessary organize 50,000 or 100,000 people in front of the American consulate. At a demonstration held in December 2004, anti-American slogans were shouted, including “Murderer sent by the murderous United States, get out of the Middle East,” and “Long live the resistance.”

Passage from the study dealing with IHH’s anti-American activities in Iraq.
The Central Role of IHH in the Aid Flotilla Sailing to the Gaza Strip

    19. IHH is prominent among the many pro-Palestinian organizations in Turkey participating in the aid flotilla, which will reach the Gaza Strip in the coming days. Its participation is part of the massive aid it gives Hamas and its desire to make propaganda capital for Hamas and itself.

    20. To that end IHH purchased three ships (of the nine in the flotilla): a passenger ship named the Mavi Marmaris and two cargo ships (one named “Gaza”). The Mavi Marmaris left Istanbul on May 22 en route to Antalya, where 500 passengers were expected to board it. The three ships will sail from Turkey to Cyprus to join the others, and from there they will sail together to the Gaza Strip (where they are apparently expected to arrive on the morning of May 29). In addition, in recent months IHH aided the de facto Hamas administration’s ministries of transportation and of public works by carrying out various projects in the

The flotilla’s route to the Gaza Strip. The red line refers to the Rachel Corrie, sailing from Ireland.7

    21. On April 7, 2010, IHH head Bülent Yildirim told a press conference in Istanbul that the flotilla would be a “test” for Israel. He said that should Israel oppose the flotilla it would be considered “a declaration of war” on the countries whose activists arrived on board the ships (IHH website, April 7, 2010). In a fiery speech given at the launching of the Mavi Marmaris on May 23, he said to Israel, “Handle this crisis well. If you prevent [the flotilla from reaching the Gaza Strip] you will remain isolated in the world and harm yourselves” (IHH website in Turkish, May 23, 2010). On May 21 Muhammad Kaya, head of IHH’s branch office in the Gaza Strip, said there was a plan to send flotillas to the Gaza Strip every month (Al-Jazeera-Info website, arabianawareness.com, May 21, 2010).

In the first row, second from the right, is Ra’ed Salah, head of the northern faction of the Islamic Movement in Israel. Fourth from the left is Kazem Sawalha, a Hamas activist affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood, who found refuge in Britain. He was one of the chief organizers of the previous aid convoys (LifeLine) to the Gaza Strip (IHH website, May 23, 2010).

The rally in Turkey accompanied preparations for the ship’s departure. The participants are holding Turkish, Palestinian and Hamas flags, and flags of organizations affiliated with Hamas and radical Islam (the shahadah is inscribed on the green flag) ( IHH website, May 23, 2010).

i can easily say that those comments are anti-islamic, because it makes Hamas out as a terror oraganisation, which it isnt as it was a democratically elected party which won the election in 2006.

They are branded as terrorist because they have the balls to stand up to an israeli attack, as does Hezobllah, another democratically elected party.

There is an old saying that goes something like "Now that we have our backs to the wall, we begin to speak the only language they understand, violence"

The israelis have never really had their backs to the wall, they are the ones who have always comitted atrocities against the palestinians.

    3) i know because i went to gaza last year with humanitarean aid

ive been there ive seen it ,. not just on internet and newspapers
    i support no=one , just people .......

Bold claims with no factual evidence.

Your previous history on the Israel topic speaks against your comments about just supporting people.

I don't remember any posts of yours condemning Hamas when they throwing fellow arabs off building in Gaza when they brutally took over.

There is an old saying that goes something like "Now that we have our backs to the wall, we begin to speak the only language they understand, violence"

The israelis have never really had their backs to the wall, they are the ones who have always comitted atrocities against the palestinians.

Do democratically elected people throw their own Countrymen off building tops in violent takeovers ?

Your argumentation is totally flawed and has no real substance.

    Are Israeli gays hanged ?

Hamas terrorise their people and commit attrocities on them on a daily basis.

Anyone who doesn't tow their line is branded a collaborator and brutally put down by Hamas.

You may want to get some history books out and read them and not just accept everything put into your head at your local mosque.

    Also not long ago!
David Miliband insisted today that he was determined to discover how fake British passports were used in a hit linked to the Israeli secret service Mossad.

As the fallout from the assassination of a Hamas commander continued, the Foreign Secretary branded the abuse of ID documents "outrageous" and demanded that Tel Aviv co-operate fully with the UK's investigation.

But, after being called in to discuss the situation with officials in London this morning, Israel's ambassador, Ron Prosor, flatly denied there was any "additional information" to give.

Dubai police have revealed that cloned passports belonging to six British Israelis and three Irish citizens were among 11 European identity papers used by a hit squad who allegedly killed Mahmoud al-Mabhouh in the Gulf state last month.

Senior officers say they are "99% certain" that Mossad was behind the murder. Tel Aviv has refused to confirm or deny the link.

Tonight, Interpol put out an alert in a bid to trace the 11 members of the alleged hit squad and prevent them travelling using the false passports.

Mr Miliband told reporters he wanted to give Israel "every opportunity to share with us what it knows about this incident".

"We hope and expect that they will co-operate fully with the investigation that has been launched by the Prime Minister and will be undertaken by the Serious Organised Crime Agency (Soca)," he said.

Mr Miliband rejected suggestions that the UK Government was merely "going through the motions" of asking questions about the incident.

"There's obviously been a very serious incident involving British passports... we think it is right to have the investigation the Prime Minister has launched," he said.

"That is not going through the motions, that is the rightful business of government."

He added: "We want to get to the bottom of the issues of the fraudulent use of passports and their potential use. That is the most important thing to do."

The passports used did not contain microchips and the new-style documents would not be as easy to abuse, he added.

Speaking on a visit to the North East today, Gordon Brown said: "We have got to know what happened to British passports - it's as simple as that. It's an investigation that has got to take place before any conclusions are drawn."

After holding a 20-minute meeting with the head of the diplomatic service, Sir Peter Ricketts, this morning, Mr Prosor told journalists: "I was unable to add additional information to Sir Peter Ricketts's request."

Tel Aviv's ambassador to Ireland, Zion Evrony, delivered a similarly blank message after an hour of discussions with diplomat David Cooney in Dublin.

"I told him I don't know anything about the event - beyond that it is not customary to share the content of diplomatic meetings," Dr Evrony said.

It is believed the Hamas commander was in Dubai to buy weapons for the militant Palestinian movement when he was killed in a luxury hotel room on 19 January.

Dubai police chief General Dahi Khalfan said he was 99% sure Israel was involved. He told the Gulf News: "All elements strongly indicate the involvement of the Mossad."

Soca has confirmed photographs and signatures on the passports used in Dubai do not match those on passports issued by the UK

I bet George Galloway is cussing his luck this didn't all kick off a few weeks ago now.

He could have milked it to no end and may not have lost his seat.

I'll wait with baited breath for his response.

He lost the muslim vote 3 weeks ago and accused them of voting fraud, I bet that will all be forgotten now.

I expect to see him make a come back into politics on the back of this incident being the opportunist c*nt he is.

    Watch this space.

An Australian journalist and photographer onboard aid boats headed for the Gaza Strip have not been heard from since at least 10 people were reportedly killed during a clash with Israeli commandos.
A Fairfax spokesman says journalist Paul McGeough and photographer Kate Geraghty last made contact around noon (AEST) today while onboard the MV Samoud.
Israel's defence force says at least 10 people were killed when commandos stormed a convoy of six ships carrying aid to Gaza.
It was led by a Turkish vessel with 600 people on board and set sail for Gaza from international waters off Cyprus on Sunday in defiance of an Israeli-led blockade of the territory.
Commandos boarded the ships in international waters overnight, backed up by warships and helicopters.
Mr McGeough and Ms Geraghty joined the flotilla in Crete about a week ago, the Fairfax spokesman said.
He says the pair are on assignment covering the flotilla and have been moving from boat to boat - but were last known to be on the MV Samoud.
Both have satellite phones but Mr McGeough reported his GPS was not working, blaming the malfunction on Israeli attempts to jam communications.
Australia's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade has contacted its Israeli counterpart and is trying to establish if any other Australians were on the flotilla.
DFAT released a statement saying it is aware Mr McGeough and Ms Geraghty were aboard the flotilla.
"We are seeking to confirm their safety and precise whereabouts," the statement said.
"There is no indication, at this stage, that any Australians have been injured."

    Last transmission

Mr McGeough's last audio transmission revealed Israeli forces were using the cloak of darkness to approach the aid vessels.
"At 4.20[am, local time] we realised all communications on the boat were jammed," he reported.
"4.22[am] - we see two zodiacs moving in, pressing through. Two more zodiacs. Now there are five of them astern of us.
"There's white wakes on black water. Search lights on one of the cargo ships and from the Turkish ferry are picking up the zodiacs now."
It is understood Israeli forces boarded the Mavi Marmara and opened fire after passengers attacked them with axes and knives.
"Our young navy servicemen were given clear instructions to do the interception as quietly as possible, almost as a police action," Israeli government spokesman Mark Regev said.
"But when the interception started, our service men were attacked. We've got unfortunately 10 wounded on our side."
Israeli army radio reported 10 to 14 people were killed in the clash but it is not known if any Israeli commandos were among the dead.
The Israel Defence Force says one of its weapons was stolen and used against its soldiers.
Israeli deputy foreign minister Danny Ayalon claims the Turkish-based aid group has ties to terror groups including Al Qaeda.
"They have a history of arms smuggling and deadly terror," he said.
"Onboard the ship, we found weapons prepared in advance and used against our forces. The organisers' intent was violent, their method was violent and the results were unfortunately violent."
But the aid group which organised the convoy, the Free Gaza Movement, has denied Israel's claim.
"I don't know anything about the knives and axes or anything," said Audrey Bomse, Free Gaza Movement's legal coordinator.
"There is absolutely no evidence of live fire. You see this live streaming on the Turkish strip, you see the Israeli helicopters shooting. There's no evidence of fire passing them."
Turkey says it has "strongly protested" against Israel's military action.

    Humanitarian crisis

Most of the 1.5 million Palestinians living in Gaza rely on aid, blaming Israel for imposing restrictions on the amount and type of goods it allows into the territory.
The United Nations and Western powers have urged Israel to ease its restrictions to prevent a humanitarian crisis. They have been urging Israel to let in concrete and steel to allow for post-war reconstruction.
Israel denies there is a humanitarian crisis in Gaza, saying food, medicine and medical equipment are allowed in regularly.
It says the restrictions are necessary to prevent weapons and materials that could be used to make them from reaching Hamas.
The European Union has called for an inquiry into the deaths aboard the Gaza aid ships.
In a statement, the EU's foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton expressed her regret for the loss of life and the violence.
She also called for the immediate and unconditional opening of the crossing into Gaza to allow in humanitarian aid.
Hamas has urged Arabs and Muslims to "rise up" in front of Israeli embassies around the world in protest against the raids.
The Arab League has condemned Israel's actions as a "terrorist act".
Chief Amr Moussa has called for an emergency meeting of the 22-nation league to discuss the incident.

Lol they have the nerve to say there is no crisis in Gaza! They should know better more than anyone about starvation in camps seeing as millions of Jews were in them during WW2!!

I see you have taken the time to read up before passing judgement.
