    Default Triathlon Cyclist to be...

One of my colleagues is entering the Liverpool Triathlon to raise money for a charity he is supporting (Myotonic Dystrophy Support Group).

He asked if I wouldn't mind taking a shot of him for the Liverpool Echo as they wanted a shot of him to put in the paper. Of course I was happy to oblige. He didn't want anything "in action", just a shot of him and his bike.

We came up with this. Something I've never done before. He's happy with it and I'll get it published in the Liverpool Echo with credit

The Echo sign does have a very significant lean due to the very low angle I shot from and of course keeping Jim vertical in the frame. I was a little unsure but now I quite like it

    WDYT?

Looks good. He isn't really doing a triathlon on that bike though is he?

Thanks for all the kind comments guys

Bert yeah he is mate but he's not competing to ultimately win the race, mainly to raise as much money as he can mate so he's content with the bike he's got.

I strongly expect it to be in colour Pete as Jim also writes for the Echo

It's going in to the Daily Post, and onto the Echo website too.

    Cheers

Picture works really well, loving the sky in the top left how the sun is almost poking in making it more interesting. If it gets published online then be sure to post the links

    Thanks again

LOL yes Malt.. on that bike. I think if this was a big prize winning event then more appropriate bicycles would be used but as mentioned, it's a case of race on what you have and as much as spend hundreds on a new bike, he could just put the cash into the charity. You'd be surprised how many people are actually on Mountain bikes each year Either way it's always a good event.

Remember his cause is for others, not himself

Appreciate the compliment of course too.
