    Photos Morecambe Bay Boat HDR

The sunset never materialised on our ride out to Morecambe (the family & me) but that meant thinking along the lines of HDR to try and pull something out of the fire.

This boat is really begging for some decent light and if it remains moored there (I suspect it might) then it may be worth a second visit.

Save to say, never don't take the shot is a maxim we should all try to uphold, and without further ado at the time, 3 shots were fired, bracketed.

The HDR is quite subtle, probably as a cause of the subdued evening light, but it does seem to be respectable, to me at least.

Opinions and C&C as always sought.

I think you've managed to succeed Paul. I think the subtle HDR has worked rather nicely. The boat for me is a little too dominant in the frame. I think perhaps a little further away would be my preference but still it's a good image and well recovered in not great conditions.

Your Eric pic is brilliant, though I assume you've only named it for the young 'uns of this parish!

Correct sir, I'm already singing "bring me sunshine", I think you've set the comp bar at a very high level already & it's a pleasure to see!

No, I didn't know that, though I have shot images in the past from Heysham.

I quite fancy a go in the old fairground but all the entrances are boarded up and I suspect trespass would come into it too...

I live in Morecambe, well Heysham now, and can tell you that there's nothing left of the old fairground, its just a deserted wasteland now....

If you really want a look without tresspassing then you can view through a fence behind the DW gym..
