I've been telling folk I work as an architect, but in reality I'm an admin assistant for the local council. All my family and friends are really proud of me and tell me all the time they wish they had a job like mine. But I may have made a huge mistake, I told my friend Suzy that I designed Blackpool Tower (I meant to say Beetham Tower, but I got distracted and Blackpool just came out.) and while she said 'Oh, great', she pulled a face which suggested she may have rumbled me. Now I'm worried she'll tell everyone else her doubts and I'd hate for my friends to find out I spend my days filing planning applications.

I've been a bit proactive and started spreading a rumour about Suzy having a drink problem, so if it comes on top I should be able to claim she made it up and everyone will think she's drunk anyway. Do you think this will work? I was going to start a 2nd rumour about her being a lesbian too, but I'll wait to see how this takes first. Her dad actually tried to feel me up once while we were in Pizza Express, he told me to keep it quiet or he'd tell Suzy I came on to him. So the family can't be trusted anyway.

Please help me, should I keep going and spread more rumours about Suzy, or should I come clean? I think I'll keep going, nothing to lose now, but I still want your advice. Thanks.
