SO LOST What to upgrade to!

Ok i am so uterly lost and :S.
Upgrade is comminG up this week and i have no idea what to get.
I am in no way going fro a damn blackberry its not happening!
I am a massive techy geek and love me a smartphone and currently have an Xperia X1.
So naturaly i thought x 10 but the whole android 1.6 doesnt bother me too much.
Everyone says the HTC Desire but one of my m8s has it and im not much of a fan!
THEN i went to the 02 store today and saw the Dell Streak! WOW
ITS SIK but a behmouth of a phone!
And the iphone is comming out on the 24th but i used to have an i phone and sorry to say dont hurt me didnt think much of it its a good phone easy to use but i didnt feel it had an edge i enjoyed! But 720p video sounds interesting.

So any ideas?

I've got the HTC Desire and I'm quite happy with it. I don't think there is another phone out there at the moment that i'd want but I can't see it being my phone for 2 years. I'd be tempted to say iPhone as the new hardware looks pretty smart plus 720p video would sell it to me.

why would you want 720p on a 3 inch screen? Unless you have the screen a few inches from your eye you wont tell the difference.

If you want the top end phone, I think the only two real options are the Iphone4 or the desire, but as many say, the desire and HTC phones in general have a very short period at the top, which successors already in the pipeline. If that bothers you then you are better off with an Iphone. The main thing that helped me choose my new phone was mainly the price and the fact i found an offer on a 12month contract, which seems very rare these days.

Nowhere seems to be doing them any more, really can't be arsed to be tied into an 18 month contract, see what Vodafone have to say on July 6th, hopefully I can get a 12 month deal direct from retentions, cheers again.

I was amazed at the 12month contract myself, i was expecting to have to have an 18month, or even 24month one to avoid paying something daft each month, the current one I have works out at less than 30 quid a month with discounts, if i remember to claim them

I'm on a 12 month contract well it was up in April and I am trying to get orange to let me have a HTC touch pro 2, I want windows, a touch screen and a keyboard, I have that all now with my HTC tytn2. Its an old contract cost me £25 per month + insurance and unlimted internet for £3.40 per month. Anything with the same or simialr they want £45 per month. so Im gonna stick with what I got for now.

the dell sounds impressive, but its not a phone, its sort of half phone, half ipad thing, if the size isnt an issue, go for it.

Well there was a hack recently for the nexus one that allows 720p video recording so this no doubt will eventually make its way to the desire as well. Also desire is on the list for receiving the 2.2 update.

Do be careful what you buy since there are a lot of limitations on data downloads now. o2 are removing their unlimited data to coincide with the release of the iphone 4g so its now £5 for 500mb and another £5 for 1gig. GASH.

Sony Ericsson X10 i've heard is buggy.

Personally I'd go for Android over OS4 but then again I do hate Apple. Widgets for the win!

I think...the X10 doent do multitouch, plus its a bit bigger and generally more expensive than the desire so i cant really see any logical reason to get it over the desire.

My big issue with the desire is that it has no keyboard. even posting this I've had to go back and correct shit. Then it makes a mistake and saves it to your dictionary.

OMG There ar soo many good arguments. Well main reason is cos one of my m8s has the desire and i generally dont like getting the same phone as people yea crap argument i know!
Any more against the i phone? Im thinking dell streak may be a bit big MAY (i remeber using my nagage all the time si basing it on that) hrmmmmm.
