    Default FSX Screenshots

It seems there's a few of us playing this so I thought it would be good to have a thread where we can share our pictures. Lets try to keep this organised so when posting your picture please use this little template:

    Aircraft Type:
    Location:
    Altitude:

It doesn't have to be absolutely precise but the more accurate the better

    I'll get the ball rolling.

    Aircraft Type: Boeing 737-800
Location: North East Italy en route to Zurich
    Altitude: 16,500 ft

I'll stick one up later tonight, been getting back into FS again.

Is it possible for us to fly online?

Yes. Regardless of how you have aquired your copy.

HIPPYHAPPY Germany always seems to have a high amount of players. Not that playing online is all that tbh.

Thought I'd do a spot of sight seeing so took her in to the Grand Canyon. Attempted to land her on the river but it all ended in tears

I've had it for a while so can't exactly remember the actual process but hey, if I managed to get it working a smoking chimp can too

EDIT: [Additional] Anyone planning to install this game expecting thrills, spills, explosions and power ups, walk away now! This game makes Roncil look misleading. Take your time and do all the tutorials and work your way through the missions so you get a good understanding of how this flying lark works. You need a slow, patient approach to get the most out of this game. You can set the realism as high or as low as you want, I'm currently happy in the creamy middle leaning towards hard. I don't see the point of playing on easy as the plane just bounces off the ground no matter how hard you crash it...where's the fun in that?

I'd strongly download the service packs too, patches for the game after the SP's are installed can be found on GameCopyWorld.

I bought it legitimately and love it. Even made some switches mounted into my desk to use for lights etc, was 1 hour job too.

Had a shot there and before I got a chance to get a good screenshot my video card packed in.

Need to get another, been using an 8800GTX but it's a nightmare for cooling. What are you using cyprus?

    Ideally I want DX10, >40FPS @ 1920X1080 and most settings Medium-High.

Core i7 920 O/C'd to 3.2Ghz, 6GB RAM, Nvidia GTS 250 1GB. The graphics card is probably the weakest link in my setup but it still runs pretty much everything I throw at it. FSX running on DX10.

Just installed fraps to record a quick vid but a 1 minute clip is 1GB

EDIT: Ooo, just been having a play with fraps and figured i can reduce the size by quite a bit. Will have some fly bys for you tomorrow. Any other requests?

I'm gonna attempt to install this, doubt my bucket of bolts will run it, but looks well worth a try.

Flying the planes... Hard to learn?

I was absolutely fucking clueless when I first installed it, however the Tutorial missions are spot on and really do help a lot to get you started. If you're patient and stick with it you'll really start to enjoy it.

Once you nail your first landing in a commercial jet you'll get that same warm, fuzzy glow in your tummy like you did the first time you cracked one off to your neighbour standing naked by her bedroom window

Even after a few months of play I still mess up more than I succeed but it's all part of the challenge. I like to create a Flight Plan using IFR (Instrument Flight Rules) which basically means that if you use the radio correctly you are given the correct altitudes, headings and instructions to get to your destination each step of the way.

Other times I just like to explore and other times I like to see if I can squeeze a 747 under a bridge. There's some really stunning scenery to be had and all the well known land marks are in there should you chose to visit...or crash in to them
