Help share my internet with neighbour

    Hi

My M8 lives accross the street from me and i want to share my internet with him for his PC and another that is going to be wireless in his house.

I have mine running through a wireless router and i have given him an old wireless router i had lying aroung. he can connect to my internet from his PC using a wireless USB dongle.

    My question is this
How can the wireless connection he is picking up from me be shared in his house using the wireless router i supplied him.
I can access both routers config pages and change stuff but not sure what to change and what network cable to attach to router at his end etc..

    thanks

You'd probably need to check both wireless routers are capable of being setup as bridges or repeaters mate. The one in his house would need dhcp disabled and be on the same channel as the other one, and best to setup encryption etc.

    thanks

i bridged his wireless dongle which is picking up my network/internet with his router which is connected to one of the lan ports on router(not the WAN) i do get internet on his other pc which is connecting to his router wirelessly, however the web pages randomly drop(cant connect to page) then come back.

I think it might be an IP conflict somewhere but i reaching the limit of my knowledge on networking

    any ideas

    thanks

Check to see if the routers will run dd-wrt
Without sounding a bore your probably breaking the T&C or your agreement with your ISP by doing this.

Is the connection strength good? I can pick up my neighbours across the road on our laptop but it flicks between 2/3 bars.

Try them on different channels, could be a local channel conflict with other routers in the area.
