one from the garden today

Had this beauty fly into my garden today managed to get a quick snap before it took off and advice on the pic greatly appreciated



was gonna get the cheap xtension tubes i got from ebay but they are useless cant see a thing in the viewfinder and you have to be right upto the thing to take a picture in focus anyone got any recomendations ona good cheap macro lens for the sony a200 looking a tamron 90mm but way out of my price range at the min gonna have to get saving i think.

It's a blue banded demoiselle (a damselfly, not a dragonfly) often found on nettles.

The focus from your camera picked up the yellow flowers rather than the bug, again, happens easily, down to the active focus points in the camera.

If you want a macro lens without spending too much, the cheapest option is this one:

It would mean though being VERY close to your subject to get your 1:1 macro photos.
