random shots testing the new lens out.
Tiny spider, 2-3mm, perched on a tiny flower bud, its legs are almost translucent.
another angle.
a ant shot, these buggers do not stay still at all.

love the ant
what lense did you use ?
I STINK GET OVER IT !
fab pics again cyber, particularly like the first one, which lens mate?
thanks chesser
been looking at a 100mm for my K7 either the older one at £300 ish or a manual one of fleabay for £100 or a new shiny wr one at £500 must keep wallet in pocket!
its all manual focusing anyway chesser unless you will be using it for other photography apart from macro. Start off with the cheap one and see if it suits you, it can be really frustrating mate, you will need patience
Superb shots!!!
Love the first image out the the 3
Nice orb spiderling Cliff, and really good effort on the ant - them buggers do shift!
Paul.
Very good effort. Especially no.1. Good sharp focus on the body and eyes.
Also, I agree! Ants are bloody hard to photograph. They move quick enough with the naked eye, put it up to a camera with 100mm macro focal length and they may as well be running at 100mph
gonna get a tube of pipe freezer, that'll stop em moving and just snap them when their thawing
they look great, as good as my home made macro lens is its never going to be a replacement for a real macro lens
