    Help Converting a cellar

I've been making some changes to the house for the last 6 months. I'm wanting to do something with the cellar. I'm really wanting it to become a kiddies play area. In reality as it stands now its a stinky dampish room that’s full of junk....

I'm currently clearing the crap out, so it should be near empty at the end of the week.. and thats when I’m wanting the fun to begin. I brought a dehumidifier yesterday and its been pulling out around 5L for the past 24H..

Has anyone had there cellar done, or has some useful advice for me on this?

    With Thanks

    Hi
I believe you have to get what is called "tanking" done, but could be wrong.

I was always interested inthis but looking at the work involved, I've lost interest, maybe you could just make it into a huge shower room

I'll post some pictures 2moro of how it is now (with the crap in it also!).. its been used for storage for atleast 15years... I had a builder around some months ago and he suggested that the cellar is in good condition compaired to most.

TBH its not that big at all.. split in 2 parts, but it would be ideal for a little kiddie play area as were planning on little ones soon.

You could just get loads of pot plants they will love the damp conditions and also the helicopter wont see the heat
