Scanner Problem

I just got this PC and it came with a Medion Scanner but everytime I scan a pic on it the image is really dark.Can anyone tell me how I can solve this problem as it's really doing my head in.Any suggestions would be appreciated.Thanks

First check that you're scanning it as the correct image type.
If you're scaning photos check its set to Photo's in the scan software. If this doesn't make any difference you'll have to adjust the brightness setting in the scan software or when you've scanned it into your image program.

just on the off chance, try putting a piece of white paper on the underside of the lid of the scanner, had similar probs and it worked for me hth
