Also how much warranty does it carry?

we use these at work. The t410 is Core I5. Half decent aswell

What do I need to do to register the warranty in my name? I guess it has never been registered? Does it come with a receipt from a shop? Finally can you knock an invoice together for my accounts mate?

hi,

im not sure on the warrenty but laptops are sealed with thinkpad tape which you cant re-apply. i dont have original reciept but i can knock together a shop invoice NP. I can dispatch tomorrow and youll have it friday.

First boot and I have BSOD, that's some bad design by Lenovo Luckily it's the 7B code which just means AHCI needs to be changed to compatibility. I will be installing Windows 7 anyway

EDIT: Strange... It was the other way around, had to change to AHCI from compatibility.

EDIT2: Did this machine come with a Windows 7 disc mate? It has the W7 licence on the base, I thought they came with W7 and XP recovery discs but I'm not sure.

EDIT3: I have been in touch with Lenovo tech support (the machine would not create XP recovery discs) and they are sending me XP discs out but will not send out W7 discs, apparently the machine should not have a W7 COA. I am escalating it via their email support team and will hopefully be sent out the disc. If not I can install retail W7 Pro and call up M$ to activate using the COA but I would like the drivers and utilities in tact. I realise you only listed it with XP mate so I'm guessing they never sent you W7 discs either, very strange it has the COA though. Hopefully I will get somewhere with their tech teams, I am also about to buy the WWAN card as the cables are already installed

im sorry your having problems ill happily refund you if need be. I just opened the second one i have which strangly enough also has a win7 OA sticker.

i google OA. it means the bios should have the slic table allowing you to just stick the key in and activate it. Dont worry about loosing your utlities theirs a app which download and install the drivers and utlities for you even if you do a clean install.
