Did you get it done by a mate? Cos that linework is pretty shoddy I'm afraid, but nothing that can't be fixed.

Yup choose a new artist for any future tats, the flow just aint right, nice design though and as said nothing that can't be fixed

it is, I cant really fault him though I got my first when I was 16, I didnt shave for a week and when i went in they never asked for my age or anything, I dont mean this in a bad way, but I think the quality of the line work says alot to the standards of the artist if he's happy tattooing a 16yr old its probably down to not having a lot of repeat custom

as mentioned it doesnt look too bad some bits and bobs would need a little work further down the line (pardon the pun) but id wait for it to heal before worrying about how it'll look, I wouldnt be upset with it though ive seen other 16year olds with a lot worse

I had this done last year btw so its healed now lol, it wasn't a mate it was a mates mate lol, im having it extended so i will have it fixed up and the 'ash' in the middle was done by a shop.

next time dont beat around the bush and just tell him what you really think

dont look too bad mate, no expert on tats but would agree it could do with some tidying up.

i would look at getting anymore done by keyamon, he has some examples of his work on here at they are top notch

Yeah its a bit of a mess m8. The linework is all over the place and the design itself is pretty weak. Luckily nothing that can be fixed.

This is a case of getting it don on the cheap I think - which is always incredibly dumb IMO.

a number of us are very experienced in body art and have a bit of a clue so he is getting a quality opinion. Your response is a bit of good old British molly coddlying and "there there now...."

I think it looks ok you should have had some coloured theme around it tho,But at the end of the day its personal preference

if it were me i'd change it to a solid black tribal rather than the shaded version you have at the moment because that should let you sort out the line work and make it easier to add to it to make it extendable down your arms and around on to your chest

you may have other options m8 but off the top of my head I cant think of any, as mentioned have a word with keyamon if anyone here can talk you through your options he'll be the one

dont worry about it though we all have some ink that didnt go 100% top plan, I for instance after a recomendation of a m8 went to a tattooist and took my girlfriend (of the time) who was black, something i'd not consided when selecting a tattooist, but half way through the tattooist (who i didnt know before hand was a racist fuckwit) started making racist noises at her and told her he wouldnt have "her kind" in his shop, I try and not be confrontational and I try to keep my temper in check but I'm not a saint and I shouldnt have done what I did (violence has always come a little too easily if im honest) and as a result I still have a half done piece on my upper right arm that I cant ever see getting finished

as said though it looks pretty easy to straighten out the lines and if he was just learning than you will have helped him along as well. you only get better by practice. i think its pretty good of you to have someone who isn`t a pro doing some work on you, don`t think i would tbh.
