Tattoo cover up ideas

anybody got any ideas for a tattoo cover up for me?

i got this done when i was 9 years ago when i was 18 and i now hate it, i'd ideally just like some tribal thing to go over it, down my arm, chest, back and a bit on the neck but the shops i've been too said a tribal would look daft as it would have to be fat to cover it....

.....i need some ideas peeps..... and i'm not too stuck on japanese dragons and fish

Fat tribal can work, have a look at Kerry Kings for instance (it's almost the same as George Clooney's in From Dusk Till Dawn).

see now i think that fat tribal looks ok, i really want tribal not some japanese fish or dragon..... think i'll put that pic onto a usb and take it to a shop.... cheers mike

i looked into laser treatment and it costs £60 per session and for a average professional tattoo can take anthing from 5-20 sessions.... maybe more.... so if it takes 20 sessions as the colour is still good x £60=£1200 = bollox to that lol

Hi Mate what sort of tattoo would u want blackn white colour have u anythinmg in mind i have 1000`s off tattoo desgins and could give u some ideas , plus i know 3 tattoo artists so also give u some advice u anit in manc otherwise id sort u out a cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep tat and for getting it removed looks worse imo

Bemuses me why people want tribal tattoos though. I swear to god every single tattoo on a blokes arm istribal. Everyone fucking has one! Do something original land try and come up with your own design

i would prefer tribal tbh bud, not really fussed on pictures or portraits, however i would have one if i saw one that i liked...... one tattooist mentioned getting something like a celtic cross to cover it then tribal coming off it?

iv been dabling with my own tattoo gun for about a year now and your definitely going to need something dark and busy to cover it, i do like the Celtic designs i got a big 1 on my fore arm but id try and stay away from cheesy crosses and such, unless you like the david beckam look that is lolol

Lasering depends on the type of machine the shop has. lots of places are using cheap junk from china now and it takes forever to remove tattoos.
It's hard to tell from the pic, but it looks mostly black ink with a bit of red. Well black is the best ink to get rid of. Even one session with a decent machine would lighten up a mostly black tattoo quite a lot and give you a lot more choice on coverups.
I think Ultimate Skin in leeds has a good laser. There's a shop in York which has a shit hot one for removing black ink.. I'm pretty sure it's Ruby Arts. But can't quite remember.
The guy who owned the last shop I worked at went there for his removal and almost all the black was gone in one session!

as for actually covering it up... although you can cover old tattoos with a lot of things. Unless you are going darker, the old tattoo WILL eventually start to show through as the new one ages.
