Paying around £42 pm to VM, what's sky's offering?

Had vm for a long time now, I'm on the M broadband which I believe is 10meg/unlimited, basic landline (all calls charged, no free eves/weekends etc.) and telly is on L package which imo, isn't that great anyway.

Been pondering sky, but looks like I'd have to take the phone option with them to get some discounts?

Anyway, if you're on SKY and paying similar to me, what are you getting in terms of TV chans, BB speeds/caps, and phone?

I'm out of contract with VM so that's not a problem, although I guess the initial install costs with sky won't be free.

I've perused their website, but it seems not so easy to put a package together (Maybe I'm just easily confused lol)

Im paying a total of £41 a month. I have the full HD package I got with a best buy code I pay £24 a month. I download at 2000kbs an get evening and weekend calls for free :-)

Sky quoted me a 2.5mb speed on my line when I wanted to sign up to 20mb, so unfortunately I had to stay with virgin media for my bb (extortionate the price of 20meg though). So would be worth checking out the speeds you can get with them directly.

You should be able to get Size L broadband (10meg), Size L TV, Size M phone (Unlimited weekend UK landline calls) for £35.50/m (incl line rental) according to their website.

im with vm.have for many years.when i moved to this house i got 10meg, tv size M , free evening & weekend calls £27.95 pm. this includes line rental .pay this for the last 3 years

I posted before about m8's rates deal, if you know someone who works for them,or maybe slip a engineer a few quid to sign you up to m8's rates pretending you are a M8 obviously, then you can get the following for £33.50 per month(last time i looked)

20mb XL broadband
TV XL on a V+ box
2nd (STB)Vbox with TV XL
Talk unlimited
Talk Mobile
Talk international

I am sure you need to be adding a service to qualify, so if you have TV ,Broadband and phone then you dont qualify...adding a 2nd STB doesnt qualify neither does upgrading your TV or broadband size.

I know people who have canceled their TV for 2 months then re added it to qualify for M8's rates

If you have been with VM for years, you should get a loyalty discount - i certainly do

L Broadband (10mb), M TV, free phone all day long - £27pcm . Just threatened to leave a few years ago and they gave me this deal. More than happy since i don't watch much TV.

Mate rates deals looks great - if i move to a new house i will certainly try and get a friend who works there!
