    Default Problem with Panasonic G10

Where do you think I'd stand on getting a replacement screen for my Panasonic? It's had a small scratch on it since I got it (led it down on a flat, empty bed when moving my room around ..pfft) and I've just noticed now that a shit load of the UV filter is missing and is dead patchy around the screen. Whilst you can't notice both of them in a dark room (and I shouldn't have a window shining or my monitor opposite it) it's still annoying to have them both.

Whilst I understand the scratch is my fault, the UV shouldn't be so blotchy and the plastic panelling around the Tv looks to be in poor condition now. The price of a new panel is around £600, where as the newer version of the Tv is that price as well. I splashed out on the 5 year warranty from Richer Sounds, whilst it doesn't accidental cover, do you think I could argue the UV filter shouldn't be like this?

You could. They could also take it away and repair it leaving that scratch intact.

No harm in trying mate, they can only say no.

This reminds me of something I did with Argos many many years ago....I bought a new casio watch, and within a few weeks I cracked the screen. It was right accross the viewing area, so rather than live with the smashed glass, I just picked it out so the lcd was unprotected. The watch worked for several months without issue, then one day the display wasnt on.
I tried my luck taking it back to Argos. I told them I apreciated that the glass was my own fault and I couldnt expect them to repair that, but that the screen had worked for months afterwards and had now just stopped working, and could they repair just the screen under warranty, returning the watch to me without glass again.
Argos clearly couldnt be arsed messing around on something that costs more to repair than replace, so just gave me a brand new watch :-)

Rang them up, said they would need an engineer to come out. Can't be bothered with them umming and aaahing to say 'no, you're obviously used a cleaning product on this', both don't affect me too much and is only visible in direct sunlight (awful position for my TV to be if i'm honest).
