    Question N95 8g Fault help

    any phone engineers can help me please? went to work this morning with a fully working phone went to use it on break and it just had a faint blank grey screen took battery out and everything for a while but now when i switch on i just get same faint blank screen no lights flashing seems like the phone isn't booting was raining this morn and phone was in my pocket it didnt get wet afaik and never been a problem before. is this a sign of water damage or something else tried holding the 3 * and call button for reset but nothing.

    is the keypad lighting up?

    if so sounds like the screen has packed up

    you can get one on fleabay between 8-12 pound cheap and easy to fix let me know if the keyppad lights up

    A loose cable perhaps? I've heard of this happening with N95's due to the sliding the cable comes dislodged/loose.

    Yep, was gonna suggest the same. I've had this happen to two N95s over the years, jiggling the ribbon cable set them right on both occasions.

    thanks guys was the ribbon cable phone been replaced with an ipone 4 now though
