Help Unlocking 3330 Please

I started unlocking this 3330 with rolis 478 flasher and it started unlocking and then ended saying I had to make additional steps.

1.With Nokia m2bus tools relock 1 and 4 locks to FF
2. Partial relock back.

Can someone expand on this cos I have never really had any experience flashing, just unlocking. Where can I find m2bus tools too.

You will need an MBUS cable or an serial port adaptor for your dejan flasher kit.
Download the software i have attached run it and press the reset default sp lock button(phone must be switched on) this will unlock your handset.

Throw your flashers away and use the mbus!

I have got the mbus convertor for my flasher but the phone never seems to get recognised on the com port.

I have just used the cable with the eeprom tools and it locks up when trying to reading phone info. The phone is switched on but has no sim card in it. Is there a tool to work out which com port it is on. I'm using my laptop riunning win 98.

ps Is it ok to do this process even though it has been half flashed with the rolis flasher first?

If u are using your laptop your serial port should be set to com1 by default if not go into your control panel into system and then into device manager, there under ports it should tell u what the port is.
If u are worried about damaging your phone in eepromtools run the update authority id function first so it calculates all XORed checksums then power your phone down switch back on, then reset the default sp lock.

Yep, serial port is set to com1.

Its still not having it.......
the software locks no matter which button I press in eeprom tools. the progress bar doesn't even move. I have to ctrl-alt-del to end the task.

Are there any other programs I could use, maybe with the parallel flasher cables as I know they are definitely not faulty.

ps why must these final steps be completed, what exactly does it do?

pps is there a way to test my serial convertor to check its not faulty

Try the software and cables on another pc, the software has been tested many times so that can`t be the problem, i will attach some different soft so give that a try you should UPDATE FAID before unlocking just in case.
The reason you have to follow those final steps is because nokia slightly changed the simlock routines in later dct3 handsets noticebly the 33xx models and flashing a 64kb partial was not enough to remove simlock, you are probably using a older piece of software try sticking to this new software for unlocking dct3 phones its much safer and simpler.

Aaaaaarrrghh!!

Right I'm now trying it on my xp pc

when I try and run the program its coming up with
"Component 'COMDLG32.OCX' or one of its dependancies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid

Any Ideas?

Try www.dll-files.com for the files u need or try installing vb6 runtime librarys on your pc.

Although I don`t know if the software works on XP properly as i am using winme.
