help please

just updated a tom tom one via tom tom site and went to put maps in

didnt work used alberts tool said activation not succesful on unit itself

tried a few more times no joy

put old map back in that was on original and said that map could not be used with this device

now stuck

help please ,, i did patch the system but home updated as well dont know if that had something to do with it?

map was 8.5280 and used it on the daughters and it was ok a while back

anymore new stuff to help maps etc?
