Where can I get an iPhone4 from in London?

Today I tried the Apple store in Westfield and Regent St. Both are out of stock and are not sure when they will get them in.

Does anyone know who has got stock?

Bugger, I've just sent a 'spare' 32gb back to them as I couldn't be arsed with eBay. You coulda had that, sorry mate.

I've seen a 16gb for sale but he wants more than RRP for it.

I picked up one from an 02 store the other day i had to travel 20 miles for it but it was worth it £495 on payg + 10 topup even though i was putting on my contract so got one micro sim paygo and they gave me contract micro sim .. Then just go online www.02.co.uk/swapmysim

I ordered my third one from the online store (after selling one and returning one that would turn itself off). Waiting for delivery next week. Do apple stores carry stock for sale then even if the online store is a 3 week wait?

The online store is treated as just that, another 'store' and they get their allocation.

The iPhones are allocated by head office and the stores don't know what they are getting until they arrive. I'd be ringing round the local ones first thing personally, as they do have some stock for new customers, what they call "walk ins"

I ordered one online and also reserved one instore. Instore one came within a few days but online was still in transit so I returned the online one when it arrived.

I didn't know you could reserve them instore.

No mate, they have a system of reservations. You add your details to their list and when the stock arrives it's allocated and they send you an email.

Thinking about it - If you have several stores around you then you could reserve at all of them and take the one that arrives first, there is no commitment and I think you only get 24 hours to collect.

Have you tried the Brent Cross store? I managed to pick up an iPhone 4 from there a couple of Sunday's ago with no reservation and 1 person in the queue at 2PM... The Westfield store on Saturday had a 3 hour queue!

I haven't tried Brent Cross, i'll try that next week.

I'm in Birmingham this weekend so will try the one in the Bullring and Solihull.

I should've got an iPhone4 before selling my 3GS!

Lol so my wait was for nothing, oh well shit happens I guess Closest store is an hour away at Lakeside and I have been there twice since I ordered online!! Not in the Apple store though.

If I get one from O2 on pay as you go will I be able to use my orange iPhone sim in it? It wont be locked to O2 will it?
