Sd card warning

Hya hope somebody can help was going to take some pics off a 1gb sd card today and got following warning from eset

I:\Autorun.inf
Threat
INF/autorun.gen Trojan
Comment
The file can be deleted. It is strongly recommended that you back up any crucial data before you proceed. Event occurred at an attempt to access the file by the application: C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe.
Never had this from any card before and i can watch the pics on camera any ideas please ta (just put 2 different cards in without any problems)

probably a false positive should be ok copy the contents of the stick to a folder on your desktop then format the sd card in the camera and scan folder for viruses.

From experiance many virus programmes will detect an autorun as a virus

run malwarebytes and combofix and full virus scan

I've not ever heard of an autorun on a memory card before, only thing I can think of is that it is a non genuine card and the makers has added some extras to the card.. If there's images on it, browse the card and show all hidden files then just grab the ones you need, if nothing on card do a full format and run virus and malware on it.

It will autorun as the PC just see it as another USB device.
But as everyone says take the images and format the card (using the camera might be easiest)

A lot of the modern virus's infect USB memory sticks like this and the SD card will be treated in the same way. The autorun.inf file is used to start the virus running (usually in a folder on the card and possibly hidden). You probably picked up the infection by putting the card in another computer. As has been suggedted copy off the photos then reformat and all will be fine.
