I suppose I should have said that I knew this wasn't the genuine song video, I just thought that it had a massive impact and that it would make others consider their driving.

Whilst I fully agree with everything you say, and this video is indeed a reminder to every driver to just back off a bit and think about the consequences, It might just also make all those pedestrians out there who seem to think they can just walk out in front of drivers whom are driving at the permitted speedlimit yet walk out at a point where stopping in time isn just not a possibility.

...like the fucknut who literally JUMPED out in front of me a couple of years back dressed in black jeans, black sweater, black shoes. He had black hair and socks. It was night time too.. all I saw was a face and a pair of hands (funny when I look back on it) but the noise it made when he bounced off my car was particularly loud.

Fortunately, he only suffered superficial bruising to his legs and when the police arrived (against his protests for me not to call them), he admitted full reponsibility because he was very drunk. Police were actually very polite with me..

It still didn't make up for the fact I had £400 of damage to my car that I had to pay for!!!

...but this is not limited to drunken idiots. There's enough fools out there whom are quite sober when they step out and when you beep at them, look at you as if it's all your fault.

Really brings a message home IMO. It doesn't matter how good we think WE are on the roads, how safe we think we are, there's always some twat just around the corner who could do something like this and thats it, life over, and nothing you can do to avoid it.

Good video. A shame they had 2 chances to include the rock part of the song and failed on both occasions.
