    Default manchester restaurant advice

Can anyone who knows (or is from) Manchester recommend a decent Mexican restaurant? Me and the misses gonna be there in a couple of weeks. We're staying at the lowry.

Why mexican? Manchester has a massive amount of quality restaurants and I could advise you to go to a great number of them, but not mexican ones!

Isn't Chiquitos the only one? and thats a chain so its probably not as fresh as it could be.

and those Brazilian Churrascaria places are shite!

Bem Brasil is the worst meal i've had in manchester, yes, its unlimited meat, but its all crap cuts. The gammon was the nicest thing there and thats saying something when gammon is the best of all the meats!

fuckin dead right i do. I'm partial to pork, not of the sword variety like.

Alberts Shed is a nice place to eat in M/C, opposite Barca and the castle quay locks. That place is buzzing on weekends and full of the hip happening set.
San Carlo just off Deansgate if you want to star spot. A lot of the footballers go there and Corrie soap folk, I had dinner in there with Schmeichel (the keeper, not chesneys dog) and whats his face from pop idol when he was les mis there, g-g-g-g gareth gates.
Pesto is awesome too, its italian tapas. All your fave italian dishes in smaller amounts so you can choose about 4 each. Grand! Can't book there though so you will have to turn up then wait at the bar, sometimes for over an hour at weekend.

I second those choices Russ, all great places. I love Room too, great cocktails and after a dip in quality the last time I went in there it was incredible. And not too expensive either.

your not kidding. Id pay it but my missus eats fuck all when she goes out, she hates eating in public. It all just ends up being left on the plate. Dont mind if its 25 quid or whatever but when your talking £50+ a head its just a waste.

Lads night might be in order
