it does appear that way, if you look closely from 6-9 seconds it comes from the top right of the screen, i had to watch it a few times to see it.

at the very start of the video you can see a black (blob) in the view, to me it looks like its on the windshield and in frame as the truck goes over a bump in the road. what looks like something coming in from the right as suggested could possibly be the same (blob)... if you look at the roadside just before the explosion you can see something on the side of the road right were the explosion happens.

My cousin is a mechanic out in afganistan and i have heard that they often mark the location of buried IED's with bits of rubbish,roadkill etc..because as Detector said they often film these attacks and they use the roadkill etc to line up the camera from a distance.

After reading your reply I thought you were right. But looking closely again the ground starts to rise before the black bit hits the ground. I think it was just a bit of dirt on the windscreen falling. Also you can see a small container where the bomb detonates on the left.

Defo some shite on the windscreen. If you look on the slowmo section, the camera gets knocked upwards by the initial shock, which makes it catch a glimpse of the crap on the windscreen and then it comes back down and the crap goes back up out of view.

to be honest these fuckin ****** are ameteurs at it, you should have sen the boys down the bogside and the creggan back in the day, now them fuckers new how to inflict pain!
