Xbox 360 problem with console, not sure what it is

    Hi

I've plugged my xbox console back in after not using it for about 3 months, before it was unplugged it worked fine, after connecting it up, when I turn it on it flashes with 4 red lights, I've known this to be a problem with the av cable so Geezah on here kindly sent me one. I recieved it today and connected it up however it has the same problem.

I've noticed the light on the power block is yellow. Does this mean there is a problem with the power block? Is the power block light green normally when the console is turned off or is it even lit up.

If I plug in the power supply the light is yellow, when I connect it to the console it stays yellow.

Does anyone have any ideas what the problem could be?

    Thanks for any advice

When the Xbox 360 power supply light is orange or yellow this means there is no problem with your console but the power supply can't supply it with power.

To remedy this problem, first try unplugging the Xbox 360 power supply from the console and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. You'll also want to uplug the Xbox 360 power supply from the power cord.

Wait for about five minutes and then reconnect everything. You might also want to try plugging it into another wall outlet without an extension cord.

If you are still getting an orange or yellow indicator light, then something is at fault with the Xbox 360 power supply. If this is the case, contact the Xbox 360 customer support to get a new one.

Kyr0genic that guide is what made me think it was the av cable

Kyr0genic you said may be a VGA issue, in what way? Any way to test to see if it is?

DejaVu that guide is what makes me thing it may be the connector block.

When I turn the console on it doesn't make any noise, just the 4 red lights flash and that's it. I had this problem once before when I forgot to plug in my av connector, hence thought it was definately the av cable.

    Any other advice appreciated.

Yeah it's still the same power supply that I originally got with the console. If this one is the 203w one will a lower powered one work still?

    Thanks
