    Question VWallpaper botched iPhone

Guys need some assistance. There was a update for VWallpaper on Cydia which I promptly updated. I attempted to d/l one of those new hd wallpapers, when it completed the preview was black. It took a few clicks to clear the screen. Anyways it seems I inadvertedly set that as the wallpaper so springboard started to restart itself. Only now I've got an unresponsive screen when it boots up. (can enter passcode, then main dash comes up but doesnt do much else) Anyways luckily I can still SFTP onto it. I was hoping I can manually remove VWallpaper off the phone to fix this, else I'll be damned if I have to restore, firstly I missed the 4.01 signing as I bought my phone after apple stopped signing. Secondly I wont be able to unlock to my carrier if I have to restore.
Was hoping on a few pointers to remove this, is it /private/var/stash/Applications/vWallpaper.app I have to remove?

i binned vWallpaper not long after installing it. No problems just got bored/annoyed with it.

You were lucky ashtech, removing an app just by deleting it can cause all sorts of problems and you might have got stuck in a reboot loop. The proper way would have been to ssh in and use the package tool to remove it with the command

    dpkg -r <packagename>.deb

That would be me thankfully managed to trade my 3gs (which even after restore to 4.02 was randomly rebooting mid call) for an iphone 4 32gig was JB'ing last night and filling it with fresh apps. Will have a good play with it today.Having an right arse about getting an o2 microsim though, popped into the o2 shop and some silly bitch in there refused to give me one without receipt i told her id brought it from the apple store and needed sim to make emergency calls but she wasnt havin any of it. Had to spend £15 at the vodashone shop to get a sim with some credit until i got home and phoned o2, all sorted now hopefully microsim on its way.

I have the exact same issue after installing Lockdown Pro.

I can't ssh into the phone as I don't know the ip address of the phone.

    Should I just restore?

Have you tried ifunbox to get into your phone - no need to know ip address?

I didn't know my ip address either so I resorted to trial and error until I connected. I've got around 8 devices connected wirelessly to my router. Having said that if you got shsh backed up. Or don't mind losing j/b unlock then it's fine to restore/update
