Some advice Please !

Hi all,
after Reading around I have established the following about my x360:

2 yellow wires visible from peep hole.
Manuf date: 18 june 2009
dashboard 7371

from above, I am I right in thinking I have the lite on 83850c V1. The JungleFasher tutorial suggest no ck3 or probe is required. and the power cycle can be completed with the xb360 power lead. Also, Am I ok to use my computers onboard sata a nvidia nforce serial ata controller (chipset nvidia nforce 630i mcp73pv) to flash the drive or is it likely to freeze?

From the sounds of it I can go down the jtag route but I just don't have the ability

mf june 2010? no console made after june 2009 can be jtagged, and u must have a new liteon which will need u to cut tracks etc to flash it

I'll have to give it some thought, it looks kinda hard. I'll be pleased if I can manage a flash to be honest. Anyone confirm the above for me ?

It'll probably be a v1 8 series or 7 whichare both simple to flash
There is a small possibility it could be a v2 8 series which would need the traces cut which aint the end of the world...
If your not fussed about the jtag side bung it in the BST or I could swap you for a m$ refurb elite (unused since its return ) with extras obviously :

Thanks for all the replies guys and your kind offers. Sounds like i'll be making a mistake to proceed without investigating the jtag option. Think i'll look into this abit further and find someone who can give me a hand.
