I've just done this with the Bro in-law. I pay for his ESPN and I get access on my 360 or Laptop.

Channels are limited and it spits it's dummy out if he uses it on his laptop at the same time, but the 360 for footy is spot on.
Still keep my £6 a month iPhone sub too
    We all make mistakes sometimes

It's brilliant mate as long as you have good Wifi connection or v good 3G reception on your iPhone !
It's totally awesome on the iPad. The screen being just the right size for perfect picture !

i have used Sky Player both locally and abroad quite a bit, within the uk from within hotels etc the quality is really not that bad, but it ofcourse depends on the bandwidth available, if you leave the quality on "Auto" it sorts itslef out and provides the best quality available for the bandwidth you have...using it abroad has really been mixed though, i have used it recently in Turkey, one day was fine, the next all choppy, used it in SA was hardly worth the effort, not enough bandwith there, most of europe is fine though (you do need a VPN like my private network to use it abroad though)

btw -i have been using it since it was introduced, and have not been paying any sub for it, maybe because of the package im on, not sure

How did you manage to get it working abroad mate. It's supposed to be UK only. I have been to Turkey twice this year and it's not worked for me. Apparantly SKY wont licence it's use abroad !

sign up to my-private-network, its £5 for a month (remember to cancel your paypal payment when you get back to avoid recurring subscriptions) that basically provides you with a UK IP address....very easy to setup an use, have had no issues using it, and has very good speeds

since now most channels are viewable, (think the policy changed this year) with out the need for multiroom subs, its been a blessing. The poor 360 gets hammared now. The only thing ive noticed is that the sports looks rougher than anything else and you cant watch the simpsons on sky 1. Every thing else works well as does the demand stuff
