    In SD though. Not for me. I am happy with the "other" ways of on-demand movies. I am now a HD snob... Sad isn't it?

    The service will offer users movies and shows in SD, rather than HD, but will allow them to watch the movies within around a 1 minute wait, with a full movie taking around 30-40 minutes to completely download.
    damn i could download and burn a movie faster than that.

    I like the fact you have to get thier broadband to use it. Gonna be longer for some people to download it. I have a cable telephone so i would be unable to get it full stop.

    No doubt Sky will offer this and try fleece more cash out the consumer for the privelidge.

    If I can get unlimited HD movies for the same price or less than my usenet subscription then I'd be interested but I don't see it happening anytime soon.

    cant argue with that
    But what do you do if you cant get a fast enough connection to download it as you watch it? will it just keep stopping and starting?

    @realist

    Whats the minimum speed you can be getting to be able to watch them as you download?

    Yup - works in much the same way as the BT Vision offering where you have to be a BT ADSL customer for it to work.

    N.n.n.n.n.n.n............... No

    I've a 20MB connection so its fast playing and downloading, will try and find out whats the minimum speed recommended for downloads but I imagin speeds not the issue.

    Its just the slower connection you have the longer it takes to download but will have an effect on watching it as it comes down.

    More info will be posted as I get it.

    Regards

    No everytime it it starts to lag they'll automatically put an advert in.

    "sky are now doing Sky anytime plus In HD. Welcome to the world of high definition on demand. All you have to do is select the program you would like to watch, wait 5 minutes while it loads and gets ready to deliver the very best In HD quality! It's free to you but we need to get the costs back by putting a advert in every 5 mins. (while the download catches up)"
