    Default which psp?

    my son has asked for a psp for xmas, which am i better going for new? a normal psp or pspgo?

    obviously you know what ill be using it for, just a heads up as i been out of the game a long while

    any firmware to avoid?

    Just don't buy him a PSPGo, a let down to the fullest extent . I'd go with a phat one, Can't beat the sturdy old ones! Built like a brick!

    another vote for a phat one.

    Easiest to sort FW for, although the newer games all need patching and cfw updating which then sometimes makes the older games not work! Swings and roundabouts!

    fat here as well, just feels better built to me, the 200X and 300X ones feel that flimsy and cheap it's unreal, and of course nice and easy to CFW

    Sorry for the alternate viewpoint but I'd go for a 2000.

    I've got a 1000 and a 2000 and I think the 2000 feels better in my hands, the screen is a bit better and it's the one that feels more solid to me.
