Tried uninstalling and rebooting so that system reinstalls drivers but to no avail.
This is on my sisters PC running XP....any other ideas/ soutions?

what drive m8?? is it all discs?? cd and dvd?

Guessing laser, disk drives should be plug and play. New drive is £15-20 maximum these days.

Ive got a spare one anyway...will have to try that.

lol yeah or of course try cleaning the laser,,,i assume it was working b4...if you passing my way got a pioneer dvr 111 laying about if u need
Ive got a Pioneer spare...it wouldnt burn my 360 discs correctly so I swapped it, but it played DVDs no problem.
Will swop it for that.
