Help 1997 Seat Arosa 1.0 MPI Workshop Manual

Hi, I am after the workshop manual for a 1997 Seat Arosa 1.0 MPI, 998cc, Engine Number: AER181754 but cannot find one.

I need it for the timing belt change & settings and think the Haynes VW Polo (94 To 99) covers the engine but am not certain? I have seen some electronic manuals on Ebay but the seller wont confirm my question as to whether it covers the timing belt renewal.

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks.

Check the sticker in your boot floor, or in the manual for the engine code.

It may be AER which is the same one found in the MK4 (1994-1999) VW Polo. It could also be the AHT which was found in the newer VW Lupo.

The engine code starts with "AER" so it looks like the Haynes (1994-1999) VW Polo is the one

    Champion.

A few years back I got the timing belt and head gasket done on my 1998 Seat Ibiza and it was only about £80 - I didn't have the balls to do it myself though. (I'm on form with a keyboard and a mouse, but wouldn't know what end of the spanner to start with when it comes to the car!)

I have done many timing belts but not on a Seat/VW, nothing that complicated about it you have the settings and tools..I hope!
