ps3 Lasers can they be refurbed?

as topic i was just wondering if there was a way yet to refurb the ps3 laser units such as kes400a etc...

reason i ask is that ive got 3 supposodly faulty units and instead of binning them i was going to look into repairing them maybe?

Yep just need to source and buy new diodes for them

But ti be honest for an extra £10 you can get a new /returned laser

So it's not really worth it

I've got a stack of them at home and was gonna do the same but the price of the diodes is silly

So now I just see how high I can stack them lol
