iPhone 4 uresponsive

Well this happened with my first iPhone 4 on ios4 and now it's happening to my new ios4.0.2 iPhone 4. The phone will become completely unresponsive, there is no swipe or selection on the home screen, the home button or power does nothing. The phone will still sleep with a black screen which will not wake up. This does not seem to sort itself out. The only thing you can do is a reset by hosing power and home.

The only thing I can think of is perhaps it is to domwith the 3GS backup I used in iTunes. But with each iPhone 4 I used a different backup file.

Quite a few others are having this problem but no solutions so far. anyone here experiencing it? Clean ios btw straight from the apple factory.

I've had a similar problem - to be fair it also happened with my 3GS - in fact it happened with that more!

I keep putting it off but I'm going to backup the sms.db and then start afresh, jailbreak and then copy it back and then just see how I get on then as I've got other issues like MMS not working etc from the 3GS restore

I had a 3gs do that to me 3 days after I bought it. I took it back and got it exchanged. My replacement has never done it and is still going strong.

I thought it might be a one off problem but for it to happen to both was a bit strange. Might call apple and see what they have to say, just installed skins on my phone so don't want another replacement.
