Mines stopped working too
Yep psn had some maintenance done during the night and basically blocked of all known psn dns hacks
well that sucks
Yep as prezzy says
Turn it off and it will no longer work
Bugger it, I'm not giving up online play for the sake of this. Time to upgrade to 3.4.2 and forget about this I think.
not updated mine due to reading this and taking the cable out, never set it up on wifi so no problem there. Barely ever play it anyway, would be interested in modding it if the homebrew stuff comes good though.
sad
time to look for some good ps3 deals then.
C&P from somewhere else...
Starting this afternoon PSN was updated
So previous bypass like the simple DNS change over to 67.202.81.137 has now been blocked along with other forms of proxy tools like Logan5's program.
If you wish to use your PS3 online now or any PSN feature
You will have to update v3.42 and forgot about using For Now any of those PSGroove, PSJailbreak, PSFreedom type of devices.
We have not see any update yet from the owner of the DNS private box that tons have been have been using you can check here and see if maybe he has figured out a work-around but please don't all go tweeting him at once he does have a life and was doing this out of the kindest of his heart for all the millions of PS3 owners wishing to stay online using the nice "Jailbreakable" v3.41 firmware!
And everyone should at least by thankful for the time they so-far have been able to stay online but Sony seems to be HOT on track in cutting out your options to stay on v3.41.

I missed MW2 online so I updated to 3.42.
Just wondering though, could I downgrade my f/w with the 3.41 that Detector posted a few days ago?

You're not from around here are you? (I jest )Well each to their own of course. Personally I've never seen the point of homebrew. Why do I need to run user apps on my console when it's nothing I can't already do on my PC. Just seems a case of "why? because I can". Just seems pointless to me. Sorry.
Fair point I suppose. However, I have a 42inch screen and it takes me all of 2 minutes to plug my PC into it. In fact I am typing this from it on said screen. On a wireless keyboard and mouse from the comfort of my sofa. So I still don't see the fascination of homebrew on a console personally. Here I am able to run Dreamcast emualtors, any video file under the sun, etc, etc without having to worry about some corporation breaking my ability to do so. I just don't get it.
what dreamcast emu are you running on pc? Does it work well?
