If I can get them into print there'll be a special df version anyway because a while ago I offered people on here the chance to get their or their kids names etc in the 2nd book while I was working out the characters and their names etc and its just bad form to give someone the 2nd of 3 books to read before they read the first

I just saw how I spelt Sweden lol "Sweeden"

    Got mine today.

As a gadget freak (i.e idiot), I have had pretty much every major gadget over the years incl. from original Palm pilots to iphone 4 and ipad etc, but for some reason prior to opening my package today, I never had an e-ink device in my mitts and didn't really know what to expect.
I must say I am overwhelmed by the screen, the quality of reading without a backlight is staggering and so far am well chuffed.
My only "problem" is years of touchscreenitis, I'm fighting my grubby little paws from touching the screen.
Must admit prior to switching "ON" the kindle, when I first looked at the instructions on the screen, I was searching for the tab to "peel off" the written instructions.

    Can't wait

which cover did you go for m8, I've ordered one of the Oberon ones but its going to take the better part of 2 months til it gets here, and I must say though that my home made £4 cover is holding up really well in the mean time, to the point im considering cancelling the oberon case and spending a bit more on a better home made case

Just a cheapo one from HK for a tenner. With any luck it'll be a tad better than your homemade jobbie

I keep hovering over the buy button for the Kindle lighted case (steel blue please), but I just can't bring myself to pay 50 squid for a cover.

Me too, but I ended up getting the "non lighted" Amazon cover, which wasn't much cheaper.
    I suppose now, I need a light.

that makes three of us, even though ive got a couple of lights that i can use with a kindle and a paperbook and are £40+ cheaper than the amazon case with the light, I keep looking at it and thinking about it, Ive gone as far as putting it in my basket 3 times lol

hopefully when the oberon one gets here the technolust will subside lol

Cheers m8 Ive been playing with a couple of shortcuts although it has to be said its only been one or two though, ive not had a look at the mobi above so fingers crossed that will have some more that I can have a play with

there is a load of info here if you want to get root access to the kindle personally ive not tried it -yet im sure I will in time but im more than happy with it at the moment (with some small exceptions)

the only other thing Ive been doing is playing with the web browser if you go to mnybks.net on the kindle you can download the books directly to your kindle via the whispernet or wifi, the books arent the top 10 best sellers or anything but im sure that will come in time

Finally got the dispatch email so it'll arrive tomorrow.
Took a good few emails to Amazon to get it sorted though.

But I just can't bring myself to pay 50quid for the Amazon cover! Maybe Santa will treat me.
