Iv got this tv lg 37lf7700 with built in freesat
Was just wondering if anyone had found a usb hack so i can play movies on it from my external hard drive????

Only last month i hacked a similar LG with the help of Neilb, he lent me his Nokia N95 which had a tv remote control application on it, this allowed me to get into the engineers menu, which in turn let me activate the usb to play movies.

this trick doesnt work on the 37LF7700, i know coz i have tried it, i have the same telly.

Ok mate no worries, don't give up trying though, i was told the same by LG when i got my 42" LCD, i called them to ask how i could enable it to play movies from the usb, and they said it was impossible, as it wasn't a feature of that tv, yet here i am now watching movies on it.

dont know if it is true, but it plays almost everything like h264 and mkv and i think real media files as well, as well as standard divx and xvid
