Just installed one of these for a mate of mine, just my luck, the games are visible in the disc channel but when i go to load them just a black screen on ANY game.

its now doing my head in, anyone else had a similar problem, should i send it back for replacement?

ps my chip is d2c so should load from dvd fine, they all worked before on the old chip.

no, both the sd and dvd just go black after i go to boot. it shows in disc channel but after i click start it hangs the console. ive emailed my supplier and this time i think its a duff chip, ive managed to update it to latest version, it let me do that but wont load anything. originals work fine.

I have also read that there has been issues with the wrong cables being sent out with these chips.

I got a wasabi when they first came out, then softmodded, never looked at a chip solution since.
