Question FZR 1000 RU Exup (1995) Question?

Really after some feedback please. I have an FZR1000 RU April 1995 (late model) which has covered just 17k and is kept in the garage under cover. I have had fitted a scottoiler, spyball alarm, third party exhaust, new chain and sprockets and the tyres have only done a thousandish miles some time ago it also has service history until I stopped using it. I have not started this for a two/three years as the battery is dead. It has had one previous owner and is in great condition (honestly) small chip on the faring from a stone (5mm). I have been offered £600 for it as is with no questions asked by the garage that last serviced it. What are your thoughts as I've seen a few on eBay and MC go from (1991 Model £877 (non runner) too £2995 running but has covered 20k).

    What are thoughts

    Cheers

Personally, I'd stick it on Ebay.

I recently sold a '93 ZZR 1100 (it was a lovelly bike, just not getting the use). Surprised me when it went for £1200.

Stick it on Ebay, its worth much more than £600.

Better still drain the carbs and get some fresh petrol in them, jump start it and get a years MOT on it.
that will increase sale value no end...

As above then stick it on ebay with a reserve of £1500.

I'm sure with a new ticket it will make at least that.

    Thanks for the replies.

Read a few comments regarding stored cars/bikes and they suggest that the oils are changed (clutch, engine & brakes) and the water also various seals/hoses also become brittle and things tend to seize.

As I don't have any insurance, I presume that I need to insure and tax it to take it to an MOT station which will increase the costs provided she starts and nothing has seized?

You wouldn't have to tax & insure it if you chucked it in the back of a van to take it to an mot centre. If the bikes as tidy as it looks from pic it's gotta be worth at least a grand of Anyones money.

book price is £1895 with 45k on the clock - as it only has 17k on the clock, you could realistically ask for £2250 and be haggled down to £2100. tell them to get fucked m8
