    Photos Curves

I was thinking about an using curves as the subject and looked around the house when I spotted the stamens inside the gladiolus. I had to remove a couple of the stigma which were for this shot intrusive, and did a bit of cloning and careful cropping, and some selective sharpening around the three stamen tips to get the final result.

Not something I do a lot of when shooting macro, this one is a stacked image of three photographs, with the focal points being the front two stamen heads, half way up the stem of the back stamen, and the head of the back stamen, and then these stacked in CombineZP. Tweaked the curves (sic) and brightness before adding a soft drop shadow and black 9 pixel stroke.

    C&C as always appreciated.

I like this Paul. Has a Fleur de lis feel to it.

I think perhaps I'd like to see it a touch brighter though. That said, I know how difficult it can be to get a bright image without losing some of the fine detail in the subjects when it comes to flowers and stamens.
