    Photos Personal Hygiene

    Of course, just because everybody seems to hate you, doesn't mean you are a manky critter.

    Keeping oneself clean can be vital to your survival, even on the harvestman, who relies on those incredibly long legs to ensure they can get around fast to capture food, and evade being captured. Having clean legs means that you are in tip top condition for the chase.

    Here you see one such harvestman in the process of cleaning one of it's forelegs.

    Nice capture Paul, nice colours however I must say that the slight bits of vegetation give this an alien world feel with a huge monster prowling. Kinda War of the worlds style

    Hard to get these as they just don't seem to stop moving. I find these more creepy than spiders.

    LOL Ian, I see what you mean. I had a red mist come over me as I tried to catch the shot!

    It's on a house brick from the corner of the garden by the compost bins by the way.
