Anyone got one of these yet - seriously thinking of buying one to run as my main media centre and shifting my Popcornhour A-110 to the bedroom - just wondering if anyone actually has one and what they think of them if so?

Weirdly I was looking at this yesterday as a replacement for my A 110, simply because I was looking for something with a gigabit network and the PCH stuff is largely out of stock. The reason I wanted the faster network is just for file transfer but since the Boxee has no storage so it's a non issue, alas I think it's way to expensive for a streamer, if it had its own storage? . . . . . .
Yup I thought it was a tad pricey, but got a bonus from work recently and decided to spend it on a treat - It's got 2 usb ports so easy enough to hang an external drive on it - i've got a nice 4Tb LaCie 4Big Quadra box that should work - but most of my media is on an old pc I turned into a Freenas box so streaming would probably be the way I'd use it anyway
Yeah I have the drive in the PCH which I could still access plus a Terra USB, my Qnap and my iMac. I think it will be more desirable once it has more web based services although it should be possible to use the USA based services with some jiggery pokery. I'd also like to be able to see one in the flesh and they are only available online here in the UK.
Been doing a fair bit of reading up on it and it seems like D-Link are supporting it pretty well with firmware updates etc. Think I'm going to chance my arm and get one - will let you know what I think of it when it arrives
Before you do,you may want to look over at this:

Just use enough water to cover your vegetables, the same goes for when you're having a bath....
200 euros although you could get one for 100 euros if you are selected

Would ppl really want this since xbmc is available on the apple tv?
Oh been looking at something to replace the old a110 with
like the idea of the xtreamer might have to order one will be nice to use xbmc again
Boxee Box arrived and after a few days it's in the box and will be going right back again - what a crock of shite.
stuttery playback on video (same files play fine on my PCH box) music jukebox is useless unless you can work out which website it's using to scrape your library with - from the forums it's supposed to be discogs dot com but nearly half of my music files aren't recognised at all and some of them are incorrectly scraped - there's no option for you to use local artwork either.
The homescreen can't be customised so you're stuck with whatever links Boxee decide to put on there - and it's all geared to USA/Canada, not much at al for the UK. Boxee have also stripped out telnet and made it impossible currently to access the linux filesystem so you could customise things - this is apparently down to demands for increased security from the premium contect providers they are trying to get on-board over the pond - open source it certainly isn't despite what it says on the tin
And finally the wife (and me ) hates the bright green lit Boxee logo on the front when the box is on - it dims on standby but it's annoyingly bright when it's on.
very disappointed as it really does have a lot of potential
I've been playing with an old pc running Ubuntu 10 and XBMC this week and that's probably the route I'll be going down me thinks
