Default What to do when you get your groove/jb set up

Ive been thinking about whats best to do when it all gets set up, obviously you cannot go onto psn or connect your ps3 to the net.

for me to make sure i will put a plate covering the back of the ps3 where the network cable goes in plus i will take the top cover off and disable the wifi board. this will ensure it does not get picked up by my home network or anything. i know you can block it in the wireless settings but i think to be 100% safe this might be best for me.

whats your thoughts?, just taking the wire off so that there will be no signal should sort that problem out.

Why not just change the password in the network settings to the wrong one

Why cover the network cable mine is permenatly plugged in so I can FTP bits to the internal hdd

You have to go through about 5screens and accept to update

Also if you just change the dns settings to the ones that used to work to get around the update then it no linger connects to the servers anyway

My only concern is they fetch games out in the future that wont play unless a firmware update is done....like the PSP. Hopefuly hacked firmware will be on the cards at some point.

They already do that dude. I'm not online with mine and haven't been for months. I bought modnation racers and it forced me to update my system to play it.

what if you bought this game in good faith, only wanted to play one player, and didnt have, and never had an internet connection?? does it state you MUST have one to play???
