007 Nightfire probs

anyone had probs with loading this game.

got it burned it to dvd-r and it wont load, soon as it says press start it starts to load then just freezes there, i burned the iso and even extracted and burned it as a data disc with same results.

im running a pal box with enigmah final.

anyone help please

Set console to ntsc mode using video mode selector and it will load correctly.

donty m8 you da man, just done wot u said and it loaded first go feckin brilliant m8 thanks a lot.

actually now i think of it ive had games in the past that wont load and binned them, they prob would have worked if i did this. bummer.

Guy,

You MUST buy the RVB Scart Cable instead of the ugly dirty yellow composite cable ! (or SVIDEO) those are really CRAP and believe me, you will notice the difference with the RGB Cable !!

AND U WON'T HAVE ANYTHING TO CARE ABOUT NTSC GAMES !!!

i already do use a scart lead m8 i always have done, i bought it when i got the xbox, i dont know if its the one u say but it is a scart lead

wraith incorrect. Some games require changing to ntsc mode to play due to the video mode in the game.

Hi Guys,

I'm having the same problem with nightfire and it is stopping at the loading screen. I get the EA logo and Titles scree+Music no problem, however when it says "press start" it just goes back to the dashboard. I am running in NTSC mode (it's a US machine)

I have an Enigmah Beta and have patched the game with a Hex editor to get it to run (02,00,00 to FF,FF,FF) -

can anyone offer any further assistance to get this running?

At what location did you patch?
Are there any more xbes in the iso? If so list them and patch them. (007 first one had a few if i remember correctly ... maybe this is the same... I dunno I havent checked)

edit: I asked a friend ...

theres two xbes in the dir.. Patch them both ... At the point where the game goes back to the dash... means its trying to load that xbe in. (Remember the same thing happens when u dont patch default.xbe

)

Untested... But this surely the problem for you.

Humm you're half right half wrong about NTSC games on PAL systems

You of course need a TV wich accept 60Hz AND a full RGB scart cable AND, of course, a TV with a female RGB Scart connector otherwise a full RGB Scart cable is totally useless !!!

AND U have to remember on TV ONLY the First Female Scart connector is RGB !! Or the Second is too IF there is 3 Female Scart connector !!

Dont know if you remember but when i first came on these forums i was ranting about my Xbox not running right and had a shit load of probs.(to cut along story short) Even for origonal Xbox pal games switch to NTSC and the game runns better no stuttering like you get in the bog standard PAL version.(like i experienced)..

use the videomode selector m8, you can only use it on a modded box tho, as for doing it without the vid mode cd im not sure you can

I had to change to NTSC too, would lock on loading otherwise.

Nice game tho, not quite up to Goldeneye standards, but it's much better than Agent Under Fire was.
