Getting Multiroom for free DIY style

We have 2 boxes and a sky package. I was just wondering (i think i know the answer already) but is there anyway i can set up multi room myself so that i can avoid the £10 a month charge?

Im happy to do the wiring etc but i am assuming i would need to "tamper/adjust" settings on the 2nd card. Is this possible??

Just remember with anything that contravenes Sky's T&C, that there will always be anti measures in place, and that nothing is a given. You will lose the ability for free tv at some point.

Also a Dreambox is nowhere near as nice to use as a sky box. The missus won't like it. It is very buggy.

I'd only take the option of card sharing with people I know and trust, not some so called 'public' server.

dm800, dm8000, dm500hd are all HD boxes.

DM800 has a single tuner and you can fit an internal HDD
DM8000 has 2 tuners and can have a HDD fitted
DM500HD has a single tuner and can have an external HDD added.

If you are looking at a replacement for a Sky HD box then the only one that will cut it is the 8000 as it has 2 tuners. Haven't seen one running so can't comment on the EPG or menu layout and it suitability for the wife but if it's anything like a 800 or 500 it's definitely not suitable as a replacement for a sky box.

DM8000 is beast talk to Lou on here he does the best boxes. As much as I love dm500 no epg or now and next guide is a huge put of on that box.

No m8...ethernet port isnt active on a Sky box...you need another dreambox.
