    Help Domain Reg & hosting

    Lo all,

setting up my own business, have chosen company name and about to register the domain names, prior to me then getting a website built.

Years ago i used domainmonster for a site i never did anything with, prices seem reasonable but i will want someone to host my site once its up and running.

So any recommendations for either eg first then host
or reg and host straight away bearing in mind want to keep costs down for first 6 months as wont be launching site till up and running and i have work in already.

only .co.uk but your hosted with google which has certainly helped SEO even though I have just redirected it to my original site and done nothing to promote it.

    LOL,

its all down to personal choice mate.
Another option (just to complicate things ) is to register the domain with freeparking.co.uk and then forward it to ggoge for domains or your own machine with no-ip.com etc.

Good luck with 1&1 mate, they are an awful company imho. Technically they are fine, the stuff works, which is great. But they have very dubious business practices. I've been billed for a service which I cancelled recently, and this isn't the only instance of it happening it seems.

So just be VERY careful when it comes time to cancel/renew mate, and check your bank statements regularly

I use tsohost and have found them to offer a great service and products at decent prices.

They have replied within minutes when I've used their online support system and have even answered general technical queries that I've sent their way in the past.
