    Hi
Great value then. if I want a joiner, plumber, haircut, new pair of shoes I can shop around make my own mind up, if only one Joiner in the UK then he sets the prices - this is meant to be a free market. ITV digital and others have in the past tried to offer an alternative, as have other providers in europe - the minute they do then their management keys appear on the internet.
    I often wonder how the management keys of ITV digital became available from sources in far east yet is was a terrestial package only available in UK - mind you I can always google thoic and these co-incedences just keep on happening;

And as myself and others have said before - it's not that we can't afford it - it's just that we don't want to pay the inflated charges for stuff we want to watch (taking sports as an example) because they have bought up the rights to almost every sporting event going in order to stifle competition and have to bundle the less well supported sports into the package under the guise of it being "extra value"

Why should I pay for and drive a mini, while the same company that supplies my mini actually subsidises other people to drive Rolls Royce's and pay the same as or less than they are charging me?

Remind me again who paid the israeli scientists to hack SECA which was the main competition's encryption system versus NDS not so very long ago

Yes and of course NDS is the only encryption for which a cam has never been available forcing subscribers to use an official box, unless they break their contract by using the card in a dreambox or similar.
@Realist it is good to have opinions from the sky "side" have you any information on the recent spate of cards losing their entitlements and customer services not knowing why.
Apparently affected people have been told their contract is cancelled and that their account is being investigated.
Sorry I have gone off topic now,I would be happy to start another thread if necessary.

The thing that pissed me off most with sky is how they continue to give me less and less for the same amount of money. When I started my HD contract I was told that I'd get every "non pay to view" HD channel that was available. Which was true until recently, when the discovery HD channel (among others) disappeared.

Add to that the fact that Sky Sports News used to be on freeview but wasn't available without paying on sky, now they have taken that from us as well. Its just greed, and nothing Realist tells me about Sky will make me think otherwise.

Maybe I'm reading it wrong - I'd hardly say he's getting gang raped - Its more a fair and frank exchange of views. One of the perks of his job is free Sky - fair play to him.

Yes I get free Sky, Free box office, Free ESPN, Free Chealsea and Free Man U channels and FREE Broadband.

In fact if I paid for it all and the boxes I have it would cost me £135 a month but I only pay for my calls.

Plus I get free codes to give away to my mates so they get free Sky.

Lifes great working for Sky and I laugh at some comments about it being expensive but not be cos they are paying for my viewing.

    Keep it up guys LOL

PS, gang raped naaaaa no one can handle me, well not any one in this thread anyway

If I could get a freesat box as user friendly as the sky+ box, i'd cancel my sub straight away as I can't justify the fees for movies and sport alongside paying for 4mb broadband at £18 a month. £60 for line rental, evenings and weekend calls, 4mb BB and very basic tv is quite poor.

Theres loads of Freesat+ boxes out there just as user friendly as a Sky+ box.

If there's one box I thought you'd recommend, it was going to be this! It's about £100 more than I wanted to pay plus it is HD. I bought a Loewe tv 7 years back and it's typically german, so will go on forever. No new HD tv for me in the near future!
