Just had my tomtom 720 stolen. What should I get?

Afternoon guys, just realised that my 720s been taken from the car and wondered what I should be looking to buy as a replacement? I've had the 720 for a couple of years so am a little out of touch. Just don't want to get something that can't be patch etc if I needed to later down the line.

Any recommendations would be great.

Sorry to hear about the theft of your Tomtom .
Depends really on what functions you want, at the moment all the *20 range & newer can be updated with the latest navcore & maps - even the earlier models can be updated with the latest navcore & maps, but may occasionally have a few minor running problems.

To be honest I'm not used to any of the newer features and tend to just use them for getting from a 2 b. I'm not on the road everyday for work or anything like that.

You could save some cash and take the dodgy route.... the F&H from Ebuyer is £49.99 delivered, and the install a <cough> version of TomTom.

If you use it as a hands free device with your phone then get one of the Tomtom Go units, if not then get a Tomtom One or One XL if you prefer the wider screen, make sure it has a large enough internal memory or has a memory card slot.

Many thanks for all the info chaps, I'm not bothered about all of the live or IQ stuff so I've decided on a Tomtom One XL. Now to track one down for a decent price!

I've just spotted someone local selling a next to new XL classic on flea bay for £75. I might have a punt on that one and get it mapped up.

One last Q, what size card should I be getting is 4gb still enough or should I get larger?

Depends on what maps you want on it, the largest single map is just over 2gb so a 4gb should be ok for you.
